How We Use Data

  • To create, save, organize, and sync your checklists and notes.
  • To let you share checklist categories and collaborate with invited users.
  • To send reminders, invite notifications, and checklist status updates.
  • To attach and display receipt or slip images that you select.
  • To protect accounts, prevent unauthorized access, and maintain app reliability.
  • To review user or content reports and take safety or moderation action where appropriate.
  • To respond to support, privacy, deletion, or security requests.

Sharing and Third Parties

Ripple does not sell personal or sensitive user data. We share data only when needed to provide app functionality, comply with law, or protect users and the service.

  • Cloud storage and authentication providers: account, checklist, collaboration, and sync data may be processed by scalable storage and authentication providers used to operate Ripple.
  • Google sign-in: if you choose Google sign-in, Google processes sign-in information under Google's own terms and privacy policy.
  • Push notification services: notification tokens and message metadata may be used to deliver reminders and invites.
  • Collaborators: checklist content you share is visible to accepted collaborators on that shared checklist.
  • Safety review contact: when you submit an in-app report by email, the report details are sent to Ripple's developer contact for review.

Security

Ripple uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards for personal and sensitive data. Data sent between the app and cloud services is transmitted using secure encrypted connections such as HTTPS. Local data is stored on your device using app-private storage. Access controls are used so users and collaborators can access only the checklist data they are allowed to see.

Data Retention and Deletion

Ripple keeps account and checklist data while your account is active or while needed to provide app functionality. Local notes and checklist records remain on your device until you delete them, clear app data, uninstall the app, or request deletion of cloud-stored data.

To request account deletion or deletion of associated user data, email [email protected] with the subject line Ripple account deletion request. We will delete associated account data and cloud-stored user content unless retention is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or compliance reasons.

You may also delete individual checklist items, notes, and attached receipt images inside the app. Deleted cloud data may remain in backups for a limited period before being removed through normal backup rotation.

Children

Ripple is not designed for children and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Your Choices

  • You can use device settings to manage notification permissions.
  • You can choose whether to attach receipt or slip photos.
  • You can choose whether to submit a user or content report.
  • You can delete checklist content in the app.
  • You can request access, correction, export, or deletion by contacting us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Ripple changes or when legal, security, or operational requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when we make material changes.
